christmas trees!

we decided to make christmas cookies...Ewan really likes playing with the dough and cutting out the shapes...his favorite was the christmas tree, of course. he tasted the dough and spit it out, but couldn't get enough of the frosting, which is a secret delicious recipe! we made cookies for the people that work at the gas station (pete made friends with them while Anna was pregnant and he wasn't allowed to make coffee because it made her sick, so he would get coffee next door at the gas station) and also for Grandpa Keith and Grandma Dawna, and PapaDoll.

the only thing that would have made the whole thing better was if we had a dishwasher!
But the cookies were delicious!

christmas box

Grandma Margo and Grandpa Bobbo sent down some presents for the boys in this box...I think that the box with all the packing peanuts was the best present, he had so much fun with it!

Festival of Lights!

Here is Ewan in his rain boots that he loves. He even insisted on wearing his rain boots to look at the lights in griffith park. We were going to drive to see the Festival of Lights, but Lucas doesn't like the dark or being in his car seat so we decided to walk instead...we got all bundled up(it is actually cold down here at night) and went to see the Christmas lights. It was way more fun to walk the whole strip of lights because they play Christmas music and lots of families are out walking, and you can take your time and see it all. If you stay in your car it takes like two or more hours of stop and go and you can't hear the music. Ewan loved the lights and kept talking about them the whole time, and even Lucas was looking all around at them, till he fell asleep.

what we've been up to lately!

Here is Ewan having a snack and Lucas taking a nap....Ewan really likes to pick his own clothes now, and this is one of his favorite things to wear...Elmo!..so you may see it in alot of pictures.

another trip to kidspace...this time with Nonna! Ewan loves floating the boats down the river, and this time he helped water some of the plants that are growing there. (kids get to help plant different plants in the spring and then come and water and watch them grow.)...and of course the tricycles! He isn't pedaling all on his own yet, so he likes when we ride him around.

rain and snow!

Here is Ewan playing in the rain. He had such a fun time getting soaked and splashing around, as you can tell. He kept saying "it's pouring". Now he just needs some rain boots.

Here we are on our retreat with our church at Twin Peaks...we had such a fun time and our speaker was Brennan Manning, who was amazing to hear in person. It was freezing and it snowed a little...Ewan kept saying, "cold outside".

First I would like to say that I know that these pictures make us look like flatlanders playing in a patch of snow, but
Ewan loves the snow! He didn't want to leave even though it was freezing outside and he ran Pete around till he was practically frozen, he was still saying, "more snow". Below is Lucas smiling because we stayed in the warm car and watched! And at least it wasn't on the side of the road or anything.

A dangerous job but someone has to do it!

Adam and Pete putting up the Christmas lights...that ladder Pete is standing on is the dangerous part...

Here are all the cousins playing in Mason's Einstein gym...Mason is not too happy, but Lucas is having a great time...he is already starting to move into 6 month clothes at only 3 months...he is a big baby!

Thankful For Corn!

Here are Steph, Adam and Mason on their first day home. And here is Pop-Pop flying Lucas. Ewan's favorite phrase the whole day was "Uncle Brian" He ran through the house all day saying it and he is still saying it.

Here is Pete relaxing with Lucas...both of them have a drink, and Ewan getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner! We all said what we were thankful for and when it was Ewan's turn, we asked what he was thankful for? and he said, "Corn", and he really was, he ate alot of corn! His favorite things besides corn were his dad's "famous sweet potatoes", and cranberries. He kept saying,"mmmmmm"!
