or even a fire chief!............. pretty much everything!!

Water Fun and Pete's birthday!

Here are the boys eating watermelon before Pete's birthday BBQ with some friends. He requested carne asada, homeade salsa and guacamole and Pacifico......and for dessert homeade ice cream(not in the baggies....in an ice cream maker) It was delicious! Ewan and Lucas love birthdays and were so excited to celebrate and help open presents.

Here is Ewan doing a superman slide. You will notice they are both wearing matching swimsuits and shirts.......that is because they picked out matching shark shorts....they both love matching each other.......and they are so cute!

making ice cream!

Our friends came over and helped us make some ice cream! you put all the ingredients into baggies with ice and rock salt and SHAKE! SHAKE! SHAKE!

the boys got tired of shaking after awhile....you have to shake for like 10 minutes, which is a really long time and freezing on your hands.....so I ended up doing alot of shaking too!

But it turned out delicious! Both boys made sure to get every last drop!

We LOVE ice cream!!

Firehouse Day!

we went to the firehouse day and the boys had a lot of fun. Lucas really loves firetrucks or "woo woo's" right now. They got to climb all over the firetrucks and ambulances, got a little firehat and free orange punch and popcorn.....what could be better?
Ewan says that "boys don't like having their picture taken" and Lucas agrees.

Lucas is loving two things alot right now.....his rain boots(which he likes to wear all the time....even to bed as you can see) and also saying cheese for his picture to be taken! He takes it very seriously!!

Even More Birthday Fun!!

We also went down to Balboa for the day last weekend.....we rented one of these surreys and had so much fun...Pete did all the work and the boys and I just rode around but they loved it!! Lucas kept calling it a "woo woo" for firetruck..because it kind of looks like the really old firetrucks that we saw at Olvera St the day before. They rang the bell the whole time and put on a big show waving and saying hi to everyone they saw....and everyone saying how cute they were was encouraging them even more.....all in all it was alot of fun!


We rode the carousel....got chocolate dipped balboa bars with sprinkles....(picked by the boys) and Ewan and Pete rode the ferris wheel while Lucas and I waved to them....Ewan loved it! He was so excited about the whole day and he keeps talking about going back to ride the bike and the ferris wheel again! And Lucas keeps talking about the "woo woo". We also took our car across the ferry....which was very exciting!

birthday fun!!

We went on some fun adventures to celebrate my 30th birthday last weekend!! Here we are at Olvera St....Lucas is celebrating by eating a big churro with his daddy! We rode the train or the "choo choo" down to union station and walked around.....I got some really pretty earrings and the boys both got a little motorcycle. It was such a fun day!! I also ate lots of really good chocolate cake this whole weekend. Turning 30 is a great idea!
