out and about!

Here is what I look like these days. The boys in the stroller and Emmy in the wrap.....let me just say that it takes a lot of work to get out of the house with 3 tiny kids by myself. I have successfully made it out 3 times so far. Once to Lucas and Emmy's checkup at the doctor, once to Target, and above is us out at the Arboretum. And so far so good. I am getting more confident, but it takes a lot of packing and preparation to get out the door at exactly the right time after Emmy has eaten, get everyone in the car, drive, get everyone out of the car and into the stroller (and wrap) and into wherever we are going with enough snacks and drinks to last the entire trip, and then timing it right again after Emmy eats, back to the car to pack everything back up, drive and hopefully make it home without too much fussing.....it makes me tired just thinking about. I am going to bed.

7 weeks old!

Here are some pictures of Emmy the last few weeks....she is smiling all the time and just last night started to roll already. She is a very happy baby....she sleeps alot of the time but when she is awake she is smiling at her brothers..... and they still adore her! She has them wrapped around her little finger.
here are the boys helping give Emmy a bath...and here are the boys....being cute after running around in their capes!

so long sweet summer!

Since we could stand on our front lawn and see the flames burning the mountain at the top of our street and everywhere around us was evacuated because of how bad the smoke was......we decided to take a last vacation for summer up to the clean, fresh air of Big Pine where my dad lives. The boys were really excited because my dad has a big rv trailer that they have been dying to sleep in and here was our chance. We got to stay in it all week and have all sorts of adventures during the day. We had such a great time.
Here we are fishing! Ewan and Lucas both really loved fishing for about 10 minutes....which is actually a pretty long time. They liked sitting on the little wall and holding the pole...they liked when a nice lady brought us a little container of live worms( see below) that they took out and carried around everywhere... then Ewan took all the red balls of bait and threw them into the little pond one at a time....and then Lucas joined in not wanting to be left out on feeding the fish. Needless to say we did not catch any fish, but the boys had lots of fun "fishing"
They also loved playing in this stream.....even though it was freezing and Lucas kept saying it was "cold like ice"....they got soaking wet everyday from splashing all around and loved every second! We also went swimming in a natural hot springs which was nice and warm with a fountain in itand visited a really cool old train museum set up like an old town...the boys love their trains!!We fed carrots to horses down the street....And made a few trips into Bishop otherwise known as "town" to feed ducks at a park and we also got to go the the fair which was alot of fun and the boys got to ride some big trucks around the track all by themselves and thought it was the best thing ever...they keep asking to go back and do it again! And Emmy pretty much slept through all of it!!! (the whole vacation)
